Assay validations take from 2 – 4 weeks for completion (depending on assay type) and involve the following steps:
- Assay selection (PCR, real-time PCR, or qPCR).
- Client provides technical information for the assay & validation samples.

- Assay variables including reaction conditions, gene and primer DNA sequences undergo thorough QC checks to ensure specificity and reaction efficacy. Any assay inconsistencies are reported to the client. Once the assay QC check is complete, the appropriate primers/probes are synthesized.
- MendelWorks provides results of validation to client for verification.

- Client submits first order, in which MendelWorks’ Genotyping Consultant works closely with the client to ensure mutual understanding at each step of the submission process. This includes a careful review of the genotyping results report, to ensure that client’s expectations are met.
